"I do hope you're right. Maybe I'm being too expectant of Minerva. After all, she's only twenty and she never had to go through what we did. We had to grow up very fast," Hannah sighed. "Perhaps I'm even a little envious of her freedom."
Hannah watched Neville's face as he spoke, her heart beating fast over his words. She hadn't realized...she didn't think Neville took her actions in such a manner. Hannah had her own feelings that recently had been coming back; or perhaps they never went away in the first place?
She felt ashamed and her cheeks bloomed pink for it. Of course Neville would see her actions as pushing him away, when really she was just trying to hide feelings that were no doubt unrequited. Hannah didn't want to put all that on Neville especially now.
Hannah sighed, putting her hand on his chest. "I'm sorry, Nev. I didn't realize that I was doing such a thing. I don't ever want you to feel that I'm pushing you away, especially when you need my support and understanding. You can always talk to me, please know that."
