Summary: After receiving the news from Teddy, Victoire goes to find him
Maman and Dominique had been writing to Louis to ensure that he was safe at Hogwarts, and Victoire had sent off a little note in Fleur's last owl to her brother to say that she missed him - and hoped he was truly okay. The murder of the child at the school made Victoire cry when she heard about it. How could someone do that to a poor, innocent boy? And how could this have happened?
They were questions that everyone seemed to be asking.
Everytime the Prophet came out with another edition, Victoire scanned the news to look for more information but little was being reported. Then, that morning as she was sitting at the table eating her breakfast, an owl came from Teddy - addressed to everyone. Victoire took it from the bird before her parents could and ripped open the letter, her heart thumping for she knew without reason that it was bad news.
"Maman!" Victoire said in shock and Fleur had come to her daughter's side to read the letter as well. A gasp came from Fleur and Victoire shoved the parchment to her mum and left the kitchen.
Teddy needed her.
Andromeda received Victoire and informed her that Teddy wasn't there, and when Victoire searched for him at his flat there was no answer at the door. She didn't think he would be at the Ministry, and there was a possibility he might be at St. Mungo's if that's where his mother would be.
But first she would check one place she knew he went to when he was troubled. And that was his parents' graves.
The ground was soggy from the rain overnight when Victoire apparated to the graveyard. The black iron fence that surrounded the cemetery had an ornate gate that was open, as if someone had pushed it to be let in. She knew where Remus and Nymphadora were buried, having visited their graves before and finding Teddy there. Her shoes made squelching, sucking noises as she walked further into the graveyard, looking for her friend.
