Neville knew Hannah wouldn't let the kids near Great Uncle Algie, and she was wary of Gran around the kids at first. But when Neville told her that Gran was ready to hex Uncle Algie within an inch of his life both times, it mildly settled her. "Yes well, Gran's better by far than Uncle Algie - I wouldn't have let them near him either."
A huge grin spread across Neville's face and he shook his head. "I didn't say I didn't remember your arse... I just asked since when did the dimples show up?" He bit at his lower lip and knew he was being saucy, and was probably going to land himself in trouble, but still.
It was nice to see that he wasn't the only one to blush either. Neville watched Hannah's cheeks turn pink and get slightly flustered, pushing her hair back behind her ear. He just stared at her smiling and gulped, remembering she used to do that when they were newly married. It brought too many things back.
The oven timer dinged and shook him from his thoughts. Hannah was up like she'd been electrocuted and Neville sighed a bit. "Kitchen is fine Hannah, I told you... no fuss." He stood up, more slowly than she did though and ambled into the kitchen, standing behind her when she'd safely removed everything from the oven. "Can I help?" he said quietly.
