He repressed the impluse to roll his eyes at Marcus. "I said I've never hit on anyone before, not that I've never been hit on." There was a difference. Just because he hadn't been interested in things like that, didn't mean he wasn't aware of it.
"I believe you." Every word Marcus said rang true, except... "Interesting doesn't have to mean, well physical things. Just things like how this club got started, what went wrong and you had to learn from, what went right. Stories you laughed about later, that sort of thing."
"No, I don't want you as an enemy, but does that mean we could never be friends? Talk from time to time, that kind of thing? Or is that off limits too?"
He'd been telling the truth when he said he was a good dancer. Chris was comfortable in his skin and didn't much worry what he looked like, uninhibited really, as he let his body move to the music. Pure fun.
