James shrugged it off. He didn't know what the Muggle world was like, but he doubted things would change for his family. "You just learn to deal with it. It's easier than fighting it, and we all have our own way to deal with them." His mother's way was to get the hell away from their family, which wouldn't work for him, because he'd always be James Potter.
"Husband and wife could have been in either order, but the child after the mother. She would have fought otherwise, and they wouldn't have been able to snap the baby's neck so cleanly." He looked around, frowning. "We're missing a body," he finally said. "The pictures around the house all have a girl, but there's no body."
