WHO: Agent 22 & Open
WHEN: August 20th, Around 2am.
WHERE: Outside the Wakandan Consulate's Office, New York
RATING: Moderate
SUMMARY: Alex is finishing up a mission when she runs into some trouble.
Alex didn't get her position because she could take down a two-hundred fifty pound man in less than twenty seconds (which she could), nor because she was written as "exceptionally skilled" when it came to her marksmanship. While those were contributing factors to her position, it was her ability to get the job done and do so with minimal causalities and without raising red flags that got her there. She knew the rules by the book and managed to bend them in a way to get her job done without exposing SHIELD. That was why she was where she was and why she'd been overseas a majority of the time.
It wasn't like SHIELD to have her sneaking into the office of the Wakandan consulate for no reason, and she didn't ask many questions about it. The nation known for being very "closed doors" about what it did was often the subject of public scrutiny and occasionally, SHIELD needed to check up on what they might be up to. Sending someone into Wakanda might provide more information, but it also too high of a risk for just a simple routine check-up.
She clicked through some files and checked through notes, not finding anything that really stood out. As usual, Wakanda liked to keep things to themselves and they weren't looking to wage war with Atlantis or Latveria again anytime soon. If there was anything they could be called guilty of, it was a bit of national pride, but that what country wasn't like that?
Alex slipped out of the office as easily as she slipped in and then made her way back toward where she left her bike down the street a bit. She thought she had been careful, in fact, she was sure she'd taken every precaution to make sure that nobody saw her going in or out of the building, but leave it to an isolationist nation to have people watching their offices 24/7 beyond the typical security guards.
She didn't see the initial attack coming and found herself hit from behind. Dammit, she thought as she fell forward and caught herself on the pavement and rolled forward to stand and then prepare to defend herself. Two figures wearing all black stood before her and said nothing, but it didn't take a genius to know that they were probably some special Wakandan task force. She wasn't sure if she was equipped or prepare to deal with both of them, and she was pretty sure that there was probably another somewhere waiting to pounce.
