you go and talk behind my back [07 Aug 2008|11:05pm]
[ music | family force 5 - drama queen ]

so for the release of BREAKING DAWN my college's book club (of which I'm the appointed president) held a wedding reception for Bella and Edward. these aren't the pictures I took of the event but I've barely had time to sit and think so I really haven't had much time to edit my pictures. One of the professors took these of the event and I thought I'd share them with you all :D

let the fun begin )

the oldest actor we got was steven (jacob) at 26 and the youngest was kayla (bella) at 14. overall the night was a TREMENDOUS success. i'm still hearing about how much fun all the faculty, students and guests had. let me tell you, though, it was probably one of the most stressful nights of my life haha. i planned out the ENTIRE night pretty much. we did toasts, a first dance (where jacob cut in halfway through the song and took over edward's place), and one of the scenes from "eclipse" (we did the scene where everyone vote's on bella's mortality). then after that we had a reading of the first chapter and then the selling of the books.

we also had dollar dances and dollar photos with the cast, all proceeds going to our local carnegie center. walden books/borders came and sold the books at the school because they didn't want to pay extra to keep the mall open till midnight (since their store is in our mall). we also had half price books there as well as halloween express.

it was SO much fun and i made a lot of great friends out of this (i only knew bill, angela, AJ, sara and justin before this thing). if anyone ever gets the opportunity to plan a book release party for a book as popular as this one i HIGHLY suggest you do it. you'll have so much fun, make lots of friends and it looks great on resumees ;D haha!
