Bonus Drabble - Marlene/Alastar: Marly meets Moody

When: Sept. - October 1959
Summary: Marlene goes to Hogwarts

Marlene always looked older than her age. Three weeks before her eleventh birthday, she got her first period, and her mother declared her a woman, before sitting her down and telling her all about men, sex and birth control. She wasn't sure why she needed to know, but as she rode the Hogwarts Express, she began to understand. She looked different than the other first years. She had hips and breasts, and pretty bras to prove it. The boys were looking at her, and not just the first years. By the time, they had arrived to Hogwarts, she had talked to plenty of boys and had received four different offers to become their girlfriend. One offer came from a fourth year. She had turned them down, but she learnt that she had power over the boys.

A few weeks into the school year taught her a lot more than classes would ever teach her. Girls hated her. Oh, they pretended to be nice, but they talked about her, and they all had best friends, but she wasn't allowed to play with them. She was always the strange one out. She heard talk about her mother, talk about what she did with the boys. All talk ceased when they saw her, but she heard enough. Boys loved her. Or they loved trying to become her boyfriends. She could barely talk to someone before he asked her for a kiss. It was becoming annoying.

Marlene didn't really care about the girls, or even the boys (although they were a lot more fun than the girls). No, she was here to learn, because when she grew up, she would be someone important, someone that protected the world from evil people, just like Dumbledore with Grindelwald. Mum said that girls could do anything that boys could and she wanted to save the world. So she started her training... well not exactly training, more like her adventures around the castle. It was her, her wand and the many denizens around. Sir Nick was always a good sport, pretending to be the latest Dark Wizard for her to find and capture. It was fun, and if it was a little lonely... she wasn't here to find friends anyway.

It was in one of those adventure that she saw that boy - Al, Albus, Albert, Aladdin, Al-something - the quiet Ravenclaw with whom she shared some classes. He was alone too, reading a book - he was always reading a book (not that she was paying attention to him).

"You shouldn't be here alone," she said, ignoring the fact that she had been here all alone. "It's such a great day and you should be outside. The lake is nice. I'll let you take me there. All the boys want to take me there, but I know what they want, and I don't want to go with them, but you look like you need a friend, and I'm nice and I'll be your friend." She nudged him with her foot. "Come on, get up. Let's go before it gets dark outside. By the way, I'm Marlene, but you can call me Marly because you're my friend. And you are?"
