Love is in the air?
Date: June 27th 2013
Time: 2PM
Location: The Coffee Shop
Characters: Evelyn Summers and Jackson Parker
Description: Evelyn stops at the coffee shop to get away from her cousins and spend some time with her latest programming project. During her visit she runs into Jackson Parker who is currently working there.
Status: Private, in progress.

“Are you serious?” Eve sighed into her cell phone. She had just received a call from her mother who was currently explaining to her about how Eve’s cousins had trashed her house once again. Since the death of their parents, the two younger boys have been acting out and doing whatever they deemed fun. This fun usually involved something being destroyed or burned and this time they decided to throw a football in Eve’s house and ended up breaking almost everything in her living room. “You tell them to clean up the mess and go straight to their rooms until I get back. Also they’re getting the most disgusting food I can find for dinner tonight as punishment.” Eve told her mom as she fired up with anger and ended the call without any other word. Eve’s mother didn’t want to be the guardian of the two boys so Eve agreed she’d take care of them as her mother worked on getting over her father’s death. Eve’s mother moved to New York to spend some time alone but recently came back to visit Eve and her cousins a few weeks back.

When Eve needed time to herself and or somewhere to cool down she usually went to the café to get her favorite drink that always seemed to make her feel better, even if only for a few minutes. So Eve headed over to the nearest one which happened to the The Coffee Shop. Eve entered the coffee shop and didn’t take any notice of the other few people already there. She swiftly made her way over to the register to order her drink.

“Chai Tea Latte.” Eve said as she started to hunt through her light brown messenger bag for any money which turned out to be a scavenger hunt in itself. “Just give me a few minutes to find my hidden money.” Eve added glancing up at the guy a few times who was taking her order while she pulled out change from all the different pockets on her bag. “I guess it doesn’t pay to be so disorganized.” Eve added with a slight smile as she placed some change on the counter looking for more.

It had been 3 hours of work so far in "The Coffee Shop," it was the most popular chain in Crescent Cove, always busy. When Jackson had come back, he hadn't expected that he'd have to actually work shifts in the place. More that he'd have to manage it, but no. His father wanted him to have actual experience in working the shop, apparently the business degree that he'd gotten at his behest just wasn't enough. Jackson agreed, expecting a cushy job of sitting down and telling others what to do. The job had turned out to be much more, a little of everything. In the 3 hours he had worked there, he'd been on his feet non-stop. Cleaning, taking orders and making coffee. The manager having taken umbrage to the owner's son working in his shop. Jackson rolled his eyes as he turned around to take the next order.

"Chai Tea Latte." Came the order, he looked at the girl in front of him awkwardly. Thinking of what to say, she certainly was pretty. Light white skin and dark black hair. Jackson gave the woman a smile as she rustled through her bag looking for money, his face going red as he realised that she was more focused on finding her money than his face. She put the change in front of him and gave him a slight smile, a smile that was returned.

"That wont taken long miss." He turned and gave the order to the 16 year old girl who was working there for minimum wage in the hopes of buying those cute boots. Jackson gave his best smile, fully realising that he may have been out of practice with the ladies. "Would you like anything else miss?" He asked, thinking desperately of what to say, to try and further the conversation. A thought struck him, he started to play with the tag on his shirt which clearly said "HI MY NAME IS: Jackson Parker" trying to draw attention to it in the hopes that she would know of the family.

"Would you like anything else miss?" asked the man who was taking her order. Eve closed her messenger bag once she got all the change and finally looked up at the man taking in his appearance fully. Eve smiled back, blushing a little at him for she thought he seemed handsome and she forgot to answer his question. However when he mentioned his name was Jackson Parker Eve grew excited. She had met Isabelle Parker not too long ago. She was one of the first few witches Eve met in Crescent Cove after thinking for so many years her family was the only witches in the area. Eve still didn’t know much about the other witch families after her father spending so much time keeping her isolated from the supernatural world. Eve was a witch herself and kept her green jade stone nearby in a bracelet she crafted for herself out of brown yarn.

“I’m Evelyn Summers, you can call me Eve.” She beamed at Jackson totally forgetting his question of whether or not she wanted anything else. “Do you happen to be related to Isabelle Parker?” she asked him hoping he did. It would be great to see if Jackson was another witch too or even knew about the supernatural world. Eve hated keeping secrets that she was a witch from everyone she knew and finding others who knew about witches would be an added bonus. Then the thought hit her, he was a Parker working at a coffee shop that the Parker’s owned. He had to be related to them in some way. She blushed a little more after realizing it might sound like a stupid question.

Jackson's smile grew, as he stopped fiddling with the name tag. "Actually yes, Issy's my sister... older sister." He replied, though it wasn't always obvious with the way he acted, Jackson was the younger brother to his more brilliant and better known sister. "It's nice to meet you Eve." Jackson put his hand out to shake hers.

Jackson's mind worked quickly, thinking of the ways that she might know Isabelle. Was Eve a witch herself? He would never let it be known that he was a witch when he was so unsure, but he would have to ask his sister, he thought to himself.

“Oh I didn’t know she had a younger brother, or really any siblings.” Eve said. Though as she thought back to her previous meeting with Isabelle they were always about magic and never really spent much time getting to know one another personally. “It’s nice to meet you too!” she exclaimed as she shook his hand. The chances of him being a witch was even greater and Eve was excited to possibly have another friend who she could be more open to. Even if he didn’t have any magic he would have to know of them since Isabelle was a witch herself.

“Do you mind if we keep in contact?” Eve asked hoping it didn’t seem like an odd question. “I know Isabelle is such a great person her younger brother has to be too.” She added giving him a huge smile. Eve then looked behind her and realized the line of customers was growing. It was probably time for her to keep the conversation short. She moved off to the side and let the next person take her spot while staying close to the counter waiting for Jackson’s response.

Jackson flashed a toothy smile. "No I wouldn't mind at all." Jackson picked up the order that had been waiting for Evelyn as she moved back. Taking a sharpie off the bench I wrote down her name "Evelyn ;)" before writing my phone number underneath it. "And here you are miss." Jackson handed the Chai Tea Latte to Eve with a smile. "Thank you for coming. He said, before turning to continue working.
