Indiana Monroe had an uncomplicated life as a child. She had two loving parents and the best sister a girl could ask for. Though she was a werewolf, it was simple. Indiana understood her place as the daughter's alpha and everyone else respected that, but then it all changed. Her father was challenged and then killed. Leaving little Indiana's life a total wreck. People felt sorry for her and when she would pass them on the street she could hear people whispering about Luca Monroe and his death...Indiana hated it. She found herself snapping at those people and she hated herself for it. Why couldn't she just say thank you and go on? The years passed and Indiana's life became more complicated. Her relationship with her boyfriend and her mother falling apart, but her sister Rhiannon was her only constant, well that and work.
It was just another Tuesday at the bookstore were Indiana worked. She had worked here since she was 15 and loved every moment of it. She loved the smell of books, most people found it strange, but Indiana hated that books could be read electronically. She constantly worried about the bookstore going out of business. It seemed to be steady though, and she was grateful for it. Now that she wasn't going to school, she picked up extra hours at work. Money was only one of two reasons, the first being her mother. Jane Monroe constantly complained about her daughters, Rhia for the way she was living her life and Indiana for not wanting to be in school. Work was a get away. She would spend her breaks reading, going to far off places. Today though Indiana hadn't had much of a chance to take a break. The bookstore started selling and buying text books and it definitely brought in extra cash..but the rush at the beginning and end of every semester drove her nuts. Around 2 pm the crowd started to die down and she managed finally take a small break. It was while she was coming back from her break that Indie spotted a familiar face waiting at the check out desk.
"Vivian." Indiana said with an unpleasant smile.
