A grown-ass man shall abide as he wish
Date: June 7, 2013
Time: Morning
Location: A diner close to the shop
Characters: Quinn Cleirigh & Seamus Cleirigh (w/ Aiden!)
Description: No Cleirigh left out
Status: Private & in progress

Quinn had only gotten a few hours of sleep the night before due to Raleigh leaving home. He'd gone to find her in the woods and stayed with her the whole night. He was exhausted but he couldn't just go back to bed either. He went back to the shop to get a quick shower and a change of clothes. He'd texted Galen to check up on him but got no response either. So on a second thought, he texted Seamus to see what his other brother was going on. He wondered if Shay even knew about what was happening. He assumed that his younger brother was already awake, knowing Aiden's sleeping habits. They needed to talk, and told Shay that. His brother made the great suggestion of getting breakfast, and Quinn took him up on it.

He was in desperate need for coffee and now that he thought about it, he was starving too. A hot breakfast and a couple of cups of coffee would get him into the day so he could deal with the backlash of the shit storm yesterday. Quinn left a note for Grace and Parker in case they came into the shop, and locked up behind him as he headed over to the nearest diner that Shay and he agreed on. Quinn went inside, seeing his brother wasn't there yet, so he took a seat in a booth to wait. A waitress came over immediately to bring him a menu, and he gladly accepted her offer for a coffee.

Honestly Seamus had been exceptionally distant from his family lately. Old habits die hard. His situation with Grace had really done a number on him. He had been spending more time doing his own thing in the past week than he had in a long time. After finally speaking to Grace and getting things out in the open Seamus had been feeling much better. But as soon as he got what was to him, good news, Aiden was starting to come down with a cold. He had spent last night up with Aiden as he ran an off and on fiver.

After taking the toddler to the doctor first thing in the morning Seamus promised his son pancakes. The little boy was hungry and tired but mainly hungry. Pulling up to the diner Seamus pulled Aiden out of his car seat, locked the car and headed inside. Seeing Quinn already seated Aiden got excited and started wriggling around in his fathers arms. Asking the women at the door for a booster seat he pointed in the direction of the booth where is brother sat and then walked over there himself.

"Hey," he head nodded Quinn as he moved to situate his son before taking a seat himself. "Long night?"

Quinn looked up when he heard the door to the diner open, and picked up his brother's scent immediately. He smiled genuinely when Aiden got excited at seeing him. He wasn't surprised at Seamus bringing him, and really it was more of a relief that someone was being responsible in their family lately. Of course with little ears, it would make their conversation necessary to censor.

While Seamus was getting Aiden strapped into the booster seat, Quinn sipped his coffee and made funny faces at his nephew to distract him. "Hey," he said to his brother and nodded at the question. No point in denying it since he probably looked like shit. "Yes extremely," Quinn said shaking his head. Seamus had told him over the phone about his reasons for being up too. "Did you have an all nighter, buddy?" Quinn asked his nephew.

The waitress came by again to offer Seamus a cup of coffee, and bring another menu. When she left, Quinn looked back to his brother a bit more seriously. "So how much do you know about what happened last night? Or should I tell you the whole story?"

Taking the menu offered Seamus stroked Aidens hair back and out of his face. This whole dad thing was coming with much greater ease now. "Noting," he said. Considering the fact that he had been focused on his son for the majority of the night Seamus hadn't seen anything about what his brother was walking about. All he knew was that it was heavy drama.

Pressing the palm of his hand against Aiden's forehead Seamus felt for a fiver. "We just dropped off a prescription. Hopefully he will better soon," he said in response to his brothers question for Aiden. His son only nodded and yawned. "I guess you should start from the top."

"Probably for the best anyway," Quinn said to Seamus about not knowing anything. He was better off just taking care of Aiden, even if the little guy was sick. "The doctor didn't say it was too bad, did he?" he asked when Shay talked about getting a prescriptions. Despite the family drama, Aiden's health would be more important.

Quinn had been flipping the menu over trying to decide just how hungry he really was while deciding where to start. "Well, first of all I guess you could say there has been trouble in paradise for a few weeks now," Quinn started. Really it wasn't any of their business who Galen slept with, but if it pissed off their new female Alpha, it was a concern. "Raleigh's been getting stressed about Galen not coming home," Quinn said which in translation meant Raleigh was upset about Chessa, but Aiden was in the habit of repeating things so Quinn wouldn't be accused of saying anything about Chessa.

"Anyway, it all came to a head last night. Galen was flirting with a local girl online in plain few. I saw it, but not before Raleigh did. They had a big fight, and Raleigh left," Quinn continued on. "She went to the woods, and she sent me a text lying that she was fine, so I went and found her. I stayed with her out there practically all night," Quinn said to explain why the night had been long. "And I'm just waiting for word from our fearless leader to see if he's still alive."

"Na, he'll be fine in a few days," he said as he smiled down at his son. Turning his attention to their waitress Seamus accepted the cup of coffee she brought him and poured some sugar into it. Deciding on food for Aiden, Seamus sipped on his coffee. He listened and looked at the menu as Quinn spoke. The youngest brother raised a brow and looked up at Quinn for just a moment as he shifted in his seat. Returning his gaze to the menu in front of him he shook his head about Galen's situation with Raleigh.

Seamus rolled his eyes when Quinn said Raleigh left. "Dramatic." Seamus set the menu down and smiled at the waitress as she approached them again for their orders. After she had written everything down and walked away Seamus took another sip from his coffee. "So what? Does that mean she is leaving him?" He cleared his throat, "I highly doubt it."

He was by no means agreeing with his brothers behavior but he was calling it how he saw it. Raleigh just wanted some attention. She knew how the pack worked. If she wanted someone who would have been satisfied with only one mate she should havegone for one the younger brothers. "But Galen really does need to keep his D-I-C-K in his pants."

"Glad to hear it," Quinn said offering a smile to Aiden too. He was a good kid. At least their family could get something right. Quinn took another drink of coffee as he paused briefly in telling about last night's events. It was just only the most recent drama happened with them since coming to Crescent Cove. "Yeah, I know. Galen went home to talk her out of it, but from what Raleigh said last night he made it worse," Quinn sighed in frustration. His last piece of advice for his brother was to not do or say anything stupid. "She's upset, but I think she wouldn't be this hurt if she didn't love him. So no, probably not," Quinn agreed with Shay's assumption.

He didn't agree with Galen's behaviour either, but as far as Quinn knew he was only guilty of flirting on the internet right now. This was just added on to their argument before, and Raleigh not getting enough from Galen.. If Galen just listened to Raleigh, they could work this out. "That, and he needs to stop thinking with it," he agreed with his younger brother. Not that Quinn wasn't guilty of thinking with his dick either, lately. "Anyway, that's basically all I know right now. I'm hoping the worst is over and they can resolve it today. Raleigh is supposed to be going to Gracie's I think, but I hope she decides on her own to go home. Or Galen actually talks to her."

All Seamus could do was scoff and roll his eyes at the appropriate moments. His brother had never been good at keeping any of his relationships low key. Baby momma drama followed Galen despite not having any babies. "Of course he made it worse." He didn't know why Quinn would have chosen to get so involved. Galen's problems with his females were his own. Seamus had a hard time maintaining the happiness of one woman, he couldn't imagine juggling two and a third side piece. His brother was one relationship away from being deemed insane.

When he heard that Raleigh was going to Graces he sighed. "Damn," he was going to ask Grace to meet him again tonight but now that he knew his sister in law would be there his chances of getting her to see him again dwindled significantly. "I wanted to see Grace tonight." Scratching the back of his head he didn't know what his next move was supposed to be. Maybe he should just leave it alone for a few days a revisit it when they both had time to think about it. "Hopefully she goes back home. I was going to ask them to watch the baby tonight." Pulling out his phone he thought to text her but then decided a phone call later on to ask her how she was going would be better instead. "But whats going on with you man?"

"Galen is his own worst enemy." The only reason Quinn was involved in all of this was because it was Raleigh. She was their Alpha now. She was one of his best friends as well, and he couldn't just do nothing. Quinn could understand Shay's thinking though. Quinn wouldn't even take the chance to deal with one woman in his life.

Quinn arched an eyebrow at Shay's saying he'd wanted to see Grace. He took another drink of coffee while he listened to his younger brother. Most of the time it seemed like their life always revolved around Galen, but Quinn tried to give his younger brother his time too. "How are things with Grace, anyway?" Quinn asked. Since the older Rollins girl showed up in Crescent Cove, it had been pretty obvious she'd caught Shay's attention. "I can take Aiden tonight if you want," Quinn offered just so that wouldn't mess up Shay's plans.

At Seamus' question, Quinn paused trying to decide if this was the moment to share what was going on. Quinn knew that if he was smart, he'd tell someone in case they did get into shit. But the less rational side wanted to put it off. It was one time, and about a week ago. Maybe Quinn wouldn't run into Officer McCoy again (especially if he avoided her). "Ah, nothing much. Nothing I can't handle."

Seamus gave his brother a deep nod when he said Galen was his own enemy. Galen seemed to love the little tv drama series that was his life. The fact that so much of the focus of the group was constantly on Galen bothered Seamus. It was easy to see that he had a childish jealousy of his older brother. Seamus often felt starved for attention as a child and could have been the direct cause of all the mayhem he cause in his early twenties. Seamus had really tried to get over that. Since he had come back to the MC he really wanted to leave the life he had been living in the past. Instead, he wanted to focus on the club, his brothers and his son. Galen was making it a little harder for him to do so than he thought he would.

The youngest brother had been irritable since a few days after he arrived to town and he hadn't expressed to anyone as to why. He kept everything bottled up. Despite the fact that it was obvious that he had something going on with Grace no one knew why he'd been in such a shitty mood. It wasn't until the other night that he had finally expressed the fact that he thought that Grace was Galen's latest conquest. He still had to sort that out with Grace and really make it up to her. He had been such a bone head and he really owed her.

"I'd appreciate it if you did." Looking at his son he wondered if it would be a good idea to leave the boy with his uncle. Aiden was sick after all. "Let me get some meds in the kid and let him take a nap when we get home and I'll see how he is feeling in a few hours." Ruffling his sons hair he gave him a kiss to the top of his head.

"I've got some drama going on with her." He wanted to tell his brother a little more about what had been going on between them. "I think..." Seamus' eyes shifted between his son and his brother. "I really like her. I haven't felt that way since," looking over at his son again he sighed, "K-I-M and here I am F-U-C-K-I-N-G it up."

With Galen being the oldest, it was true that a lot of their time growing up had revolved around him. Quinn had followed behind Galen his whole life, but he'd always been there to be back up. If he'd ever felt that jealousy that Shay felt, he usually just kept it bottled up.

If Quinn had known about what Shay was going through, he would have been trying to help his brother out. It was pretty obvious from the way Shay and Grace had been hanging around each other that something was going to happen with them if it hadn't happened already. Of course, thinking that Galen had gotten to Grace first would explain everything about Seamus' bad mood.

"Sure, anytime," Quinn said nodding again that he didn't mind to take care of Aiden. He knew what he was doing tonight then. And that made Quinn know he wasn't going to go out drinking tonight, running into a certain someone he'd rather avoid at this stressful time. "You just bring him over whenever," Quinn assured his brother, and grinned when he saw how affectionate Shay was with his son.

When Seamus explained about Grace, Quinn grinned but hid his smile with his coffee mug while he took another drink. It was nice to see his brother thinking that way again, after what happened with Aiden's mother. "That's good," Quinn said about how Shay liked her. He nodded at the spelled out explanation. "What did you F-U-C-K up?"
