Galen had called the guys into the clubhouse for a short meeting. Their first package would be arriving in exactly a week and they needed to be prepared for the transport, first to the garage, the half way point, and then on to the small cabin that Quinn had found and purchased almost four months ago -- where the pieces of the weapons coming in would be assembled before delivery. There wasn't much to be discussed because they all knew their role in the movement of the guns but he didn't want anything to go wrong -- he wanted to make sure that their first drop off went off perfectly to set the standard. He knew that the could count on his brothers, and with Seamus back from Ireland (back from arranging this new drop off point) would make things run smoother -- he'd been worried that Seamus might not have been back in time since he had to stop in through Boston first, their father wanting to speak to him about what he'd seen and heard while on the other side of the Atlantic.

The gavel beat against the sounding block and the guys dispersed, Galen being the last to leave the room after sharing a word with Seamus about their contact on the ship coming in. It wasn't anything important, it was more character questions than anything else.

But, everyone went their separate ways in the clubhouse. Galen passed by Chessa, at the billiard table, and loosely wrapped an arm around her waste, "bring me a beer, sweetheart?" He asked with a charming smile on his lips before continuing over to the couch where Raleigh sat with Aiden. His shoulder fell against the support beam of the enclave where the couches were set up adjacent to the pool table. "Still haven't found a nanny you like yet? I thought you were seeing one today?"

Sleep was a very overrated concept. The nightclub Parker had decided to catch a secondary job at had him scheduled for not only that night but the night after. It was the club and pack that he put first though, so sleep could be put off until he wasn't needed anymore by Galen. Everything seemed to be falling into place on the expansion and Parker was happy to be a part of a family- blood or not- that had goals.

It could be seen as ironic that Parker lived amongst and ran with club such as the Cleirigh Rebellious Sons. The first fourteen years of his life had been one of strict rules, religious superiority, and being told he was evil. He glanced around the room at the others with a smile. He preferred the freedom, loyalty, and sense of family over everything that the Pack had. Parker would never wish to be anything other than a wolf.

Parker sat down at a bar stool in between the pool table and the couch. Picking up a book he had left on the shelves, he pushed his feet against each side turning the seat back and forth. Everyone's conversations were listened to, but he had a habit of losing himself in a good book also.

After he had finished speaking to Raleigh about Aiden and the nanny, listened to the shots that Chessa was taking at her sister and taken a phone-call with his father on a burner cell phone, he went to look for Parker. He was the only one that had found a job outside of the garage and the club -- in Galen's opinion Parker was a fairly good mechanic and didn't need to look elsewhere for work, but Galen had a feeling that his adoptive brother had found employment elsewhere as to not me a drag on the garage while it was just starting to get on its feet.

Perhaps, it was because (even though he'd been cared for like another member of the family) he still felt like an outsider and he needed to do more than the others, as if he needed to earn his place with the Cleirigh boys. Or, maybe, he just wanted some distance from the club, or branch out and do something else. Whatever it was ... Galen was still aware of the move that Parker had made. And, while he had a thousand other things going on, nothing went unnoticed, especially one of his brothers.

He found Parker, deep into his book, and a beer was held out to him -- Galen stuck the base of the bottle between Parker's eyes and the book to get his attention. "What're you reading, kid?" His own beer was brought to his lips, the cool amber beer was refreshing and cooled him down.

Parker did not mind working for the club or the garage. If Galen needed him, he'd drop everything for him, but the man was right in his assumption. There had always been a different feel between him and the others of a pack, one that Parker could not fully understand himself. His origin still haunted him and though the Cleirigh family had made no difference in their treatment of him to those of their real sons, he knew in his heart that he'd never truly be part of their family.

The job as a bouncer had been a way of bringing in his own money without taking from the garage as it was getting set up and breaking out as a business. The only way for a good cover business was to have one that was active. An upstart business even when funded from else where did not need another mechanic drawing money from it. Not until they did need him, but the shy side of the pup came with a want to be asked, even if it wasn't expected. He'd quit his bouncer job once everything was set and he knew he'd be needed in one capacity or another.

The pages of the book unraveled in his mind, taking him away from the club for long enough not to notice Galen stood in front of him until the beer was placed in his vision. Parker smirked and with a laugh took the bottle. "Thanks. I'm reading..." He glanced at the cover of the book. "Scarlet Letter." The pup was not as hardcore as others perceived him.

Turning in his stool, he placed the book down and popped the cap of the beer using the shelf. "How's the old man?"

It wasn't from a lack of love from the Cleirigh boys that Parker felt that way, or that was the way that Galen saw it, because they had treated him from the beginning like another brother and tried their best to keep him as involved with the family and their lives as best as they possible could. But, the older Galen got the more space he learned to give his brothers. They weren't kids anymore and they all needed their space, he just tried to be there when they needed him -- like Quinn was there for Galen, they all had a different default support system.

But, here he was with a beer in hand for his little brother and one for himself. "The Scarlet Letter?" His brows furrowed in amused confusion at what his brother had decided to read. "You've got to be fuckin' kidding me," he shook his head and took a long pull from his beer.

His shoulders lifted for a slight shrug when Parker asked about Connor Cleirigh. "You know, same as always. Bitching because we're idiot children and never get anything right," but, they hadn't done anything wrong ... just it hadn't been done his way and that meant it was wrong. He didn't like that Galen had tried to be friendly with the other wolf pack instead of being a dick and pissing all over everyone's ground.

A shrug and a swig of the beer, Parker smirked at Galen's reaction. Every one of the brothers had their different personalities and qualities for their areas of work, but Parker spanned between. His intelligence and bookish-ness hid underneath the rough, playful exterior that others saw. "What it's a good book?" He laughed. The book had been a random one he pulled from his bookshelves. It hadn't been read in some time, but Parker wasn't picky.

"Yeah, sounds like he's in good health then. I think if he complimented our actions we'd have to commit him." Parker had yet to meet any of the other wolves in the area, but the pissing on territory was left to the Alpha anyhow. If they wanted to start a fight, Parker was not above taking the low road and fighting. But he'd wait until the other wolves started it before he'd take action.

Taking another long drag from the beer, he cocked his head to the side and looked at his eldest brother. Parker wouldn't have changed the way his life went for the world. He might have lost his second set of parents, but he gained an entire family and siblings. "What's up with you, brother?"

Galen was only teasing him. He'd grown accustomed to Parker being different, none of the other brothers were really into books and things like that but they came from a different sort of stock -- though, he didn't really know exactly how different. Nonetheless, he smirked when his brother swore that it was a good book what he was reading. "I bet it is. Still makes you a big fuckin' nerd," his smile was so wide and bright that the corners of his eyes wrinkled again.

"I'd be worried if he thought we did something right," because, that meant that the old man was losing his will to fight them on everything they did. But, Galen didn't mind dealing with the bullshit from his father because it meant that the old man was still involved, making sure things were smoother for when Galen took over ... eventually.

His eyes moved back over to the couch where he'd left Raleigh with Aiden and Chessa. His brows rose when his brother asked him what was up. "Sometimes I think it does bother her and she's controlling herself from jumping out of her seat and ripping Chessa's throat out," but he was a selfish bastard and kept Chessa around anyway, even if it endangered Chessa and pissed off Raleigh. And, it might have been something that he shouldn't have talked about with Parker but ... he asked and that honestly had him stressed.

"This nerd will kick your ass, book in hand." Parker teased back with a laugh. He knew full well he couldn't take his brother in a real fight, but even that knowledge wouldn't stop Parker from joining a sparring match with him. He used the same attitude with any fight against bigger wolves or humans in general.

Following Galen's gaze, Parker nodded. "Chessa's scrappy; it'd be an interesting fight. Though I'd put my bet on Raleigh winning. As much as I love Chessa, she just wouldn't be able to make it to the end of that fight without a white flag." Any way he looked at it, Parker was sure Raleigh would win, which was why she was the Alpha female- besides being Galen's.

The fact that Galen could get two females while the others barely ever had one was funny to Parker. He was in no rush for a pack female and it could be said that he had a tendency towards obliviousness at interest. He flirted, and loved flirting, but it was a playful act. He even flirted with Chessa often, but it was only because they both had that nature about them and both knew there were no expectations past it.

"It will be fine, Galen. They're both testing their place. All new relationships have that." Parker was always an open ear to any of the brother's problems and surprisingly emotionally aware when it came to anyone but himself. He, of course, would tease them at the entrance of a new girl, but if there were any problems he was there and any problems in other parts of their lives, Parker was there to fight at their side.

"Bring it Shakespeare," who had nothing to do with Nathaniel Hawthorne or the Scarlett Letter but it was the best that Parker was going to get out of Galen when it came to fancy reading. Nevertheless, the smile on the older brother's lips spread and he reached out to pat Parker on the shoulder. Parker had always been a little different than the rest of his brothers but that didn't change anything between them. Galen was just as playful with Parker as he was with Seamus.

Galen nodded at Parker's assessment of the situation. His money was on Raleigh, not only because she was bigger and stronger than Chessa was, but because she had more invested in Galen and in the club. Chessa could leave whenever she wanted, without looking back, and there wouldn't be an repercussions. While if Raleigh left ... it would've been four years of her life wasted. Not that Galen would be okay with her leaving in the first place.

Galen had actively sought out having two females because he hadn't even started a family with Raleigh. The whole purpose of having two females would have been to procreate, to extended the family name and bloodline but Galen wasn't ready for all of that -- not yet, at least. He just wanted two girls.

His brother was right about the girls testing their place and boundaries. Chessa had been smart in not trying to challenge Raleigh in any way, shape or form -- it wouldn't have been smart for her own safety and it wouldn't have been good for her relationship with Galen. Raleigh was the Alpha female and as he expected his brothers and whatever other males joined their pack, he would expect the same from the females beneath Raleigh.

He turned his attention back to Parker, though, smiling. "What about you, though? Nothing in the area you like?" That was such a crude way to talk about women but that was how Galen was, always had been.

"I like looking." Parker answered with a smile. "That's one of the reason I took the bouncer job, clubs are a great place to look." He shrugged with a smirk. There was no one that drew his attention enough to want to settle down with them. Time could pass, days go by, but Parker knew that he would only ever be good for those singular nights of fun with a relative stranger.

"Plus girls don't exactly like it when you pick finishing a fight over them." He grinned ear to ear. "I got Chessa to help me win a bet when she visited me at the club the other day. I didn't only get to fight, but I got to drink on the job. But... only came back home with Chessa instead of someone for myself."

A good pack was one that respected the line of things. Any new additions needed to know hat immediately or they would find out the hard way of how things were. Parker liked Chessa as a friend and someone close to his age, so he was glad she didn't get too deep in trouble with Raleigh or Galen for that matter.
