"Virgin sacrifices don't get their blood spilt." Lex said deadpan, reaching over to ruffle Remus' hair the way he'd pet a hound.
"Mr. Lupin." He turned his eyes to the father. "Remus knows the details of what's to follow. I suggest you take your wife home now."
It wasn't that Lex didn't appreciate not having his classroom in a mess or not finding Remus' mother screaming her head off in a froth of prayers, he did. It was the fact that to him, no matter what, the Potions Lab honestly looked like a classroom. No doubt her husband had mentioned he'd gone to school and used one similar. And yet, she didn't call her husband a demon, devil or unsouled cursed.
He could appreciate the woman's love for her son. But she was making things so much more difficult for him.
