Barely able to resist the urge to roll her eyes at the glare he was sending her, Hestia instead crossed her left arm over her body, hooking her hand over her right elbow. She didn't know what it was about Ripper but he had the very annoying habit of being to exasperate her just by opening his mouth. Other than Ron, he was the only magic user here that she knew of; they should at least try to get along. Her muscles tensed unconsciously and her wand hand clenched slightly when he opened his mouth but relaxed as he continued speaking.
"I saw the sale and picked up stocks of the Valerian root and turmeric. Thank you, though, for telling me about it." Hestia knew she should walk by, just let the conversation end there. But John and Charles considered Ripper a mate of theirs and Hestia didn't want there to be any awkwardness if a group outing were to happen. "I don't think my type of magic uses candles and crystals like yours," Hestia responded. "Candles are used for lighting."
