Fred didn't think she had ever been happier. A wonderful husband. Two beautiful daughters. Not that long ago, she hadn't even thought she could have this. Definitely not in Pylea, not even after she had returned to Los Angeles. But now she did.
When they got back to the house, Fred smiled as Charlie went to talk to Willow while the others called dibs on holding the baby. Her husband and daughters weren't the only members of her family, she knew. Everyone here now was too, and Rupert was right - they'd certainly never be at a loss for someone to look after the girls if they needed it. Lorne had made it abundantly clear that they could call anytime even though he was also acting as den demon to several Slayers, and Dawn and Buffy seemed to look at both Andi and Charlie as their little sisters.
Leaning against Rupert, Fred rested her head in the crook of his neck after they had kissed. "I love you too," she told him, taking his hand in hers and squeezing it tightly. She looked over at the clock though, and frowned when she noticed the time. "Weren't your parents supposed to be here by now?"
Just as she asked that, a knock came on the door, so Fred got up to answer. She smiled when she saw Helen and Richard and was about to greet them with a hug when she noticed two people behind them. Her eyes widened in surprise. "Mom? Dad?"
"Hi, Baby! We had to come meet our new granddaughters!" her mother said as she pulled her into a hug. "So we worked it out with Helen and Richard, and they came to pick us up at the airport."
"I'm so glad you did." Fred hugged her father and then her in-laws. "Thank you. Charlie, we have a surprise. You know your Nanny Helen and Grandad Richard. Well, I'd like you to meet your Grandma Trish and Grandpa Roger. My parents. They've come all the way from Texas to meet you."
