Mostly kid's books @_@
1. The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman Too much awesome to put into words other than amazing.
2. The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud The world is run by not so nice wizards and the snarky demon Bartimaeus never fails to make me laugh.
3. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster One of the few times I enjoyed word play.
4. Foundation and Empire by Issac Asimov Conquering large portions of the galaxy is always fun.
5. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi Okay, really a comic. However its a moving piece that weaves both war and finding yourself. And most of the boxes are filled with text. :P
6. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer Sometimes its good to be bad. Basically a villain becomes good, but not really.
7. Monster Blood Tattoo: Foundling by D.M. Cornish Series in a refreshingly deep fantasy world in which monsters are hunted by monsters in human skin.
8. A Spell for Chameleon by Piers Anthony More word play that I find funny, and a world that absorbs marauders from our world, and 'gives' them magic.
9. The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis My favorite book of the Narnia series, ironically enough because it is very different from the rest of the series. Aravis is a cool girl as well.
10. Fablehaven by Brandon Mull All of my favorite legends, fairytales, and folklore come to life in this book. Kendra is also an admirable character.
