Hi I'm Silver and this guy is Asher Henry. He is an omega shifter (fox). He dropped his last name and replaced it with his middle name when he ran away at thirteen. It was a story of local interest as his parents were pretty prominent members of the community, but it certainly didn't make national news. Like with most things, interest died down as the next news story came around. A few times he was nearly caught but managed to shift to his fox form and slip by.
Since then he has lived on the streets, going from town to town. He's a decent guy but he has had to survive on the streets for so long that he has, unfortunately, needed to dupe some people, steal some things and live in the gray for most of his life. That said, he has often himself been duped, had things and money stolen, and still believes people more than he should.
He's been in New Orleans just over a month and has decided that he might like to put down his bags and try to make a stable life for himself here. The fact that there are people like him here is a contributing factor to that decision.
With that said the lines that are most obvious to me are:
- People he's met while he's been here. He'll need help once a month with his heat, but doesn't have to be the same person
- People he may have encountered in other cities and towns while he was going place to place. These can be good, neutral, or bad interactions.
- Possible extended family he hasn't seen since he made his escape. Or possibly a family member that was helping him out from time to time. I'm still not sure on this one as that family member would know about his past and his parents and I'm not sure if he'd trust that. But if that someone is estranged from the family too, maybe!
- People to meet to become friends or fwbs with
- Some mentor type who tries to teach him the things he didn't learn while he was on the run - things like money, how to hold a job, why it's better to work for money than steal it....etc.
- Anything that he works into in your characters lives. Trust me, I'm into it and here for it.
