It was all the winking that gave her away. Oh, it took me a while—it was Christmastime before it finally dawned on me—but I did eventually realise that Tonks was flirting with me. No, no, that Tonks was flirting with me. There, that's much more to the point.
Yes, indeed.
Now, where was I? Oh, yes, the winking.
See, Tonks didn't just close her eyelid over her eye when she winked. It was a whole production. She'd tilt her head, her lips would curve up into this really knowing smile, her eyes would get this glint—which, now that I think of it and understand a bit more about Dumbledore's personal life, was a whole lot like the twinkle in his eye, and isn't that more than a bit disturbing—and she would tap one finger on something just before her eyelashes turned a sparkly silver colour. And then, when my attention was completely hers, she would finally wink.
For a fifteen year old boy, it was heaven and hell all at once. She would grin devilishly when I invariably blushed and I thought for a while that was what she was searching for. A reaction, you know? Oh, but no.
See, I went to Grimmauld Place that Christmas. There was a whole thing with Mr Weasley and a snake… it's a long story and I really don't like to think of that and all the things that went along with it, so let's just concentrate on the story I am telling, okay?
Yeah. Right.
But anyway, I was sort of… uh, emotional, I suppose, that Christmas. My friends were all hanging about the place moping, I was all blah, and Sirius was constantly searching me out for little one on one chats. Those were nice, even when they made me… you know, emotional. They were about my parents mostly, and when they weren't about my parents, they were about Remus.
Oh, hey, did you know that Sirius and Remus were… you know? Oh, yeah. It's weird, because I thought for a while that Remus and Tonks… but hahaha, oh no. No, see, Tonks didn't go for older blokes at all.
So, back to the winking. Well, it turned out that Tonks and Sirius were cousins and one day Sirius really wanted some 'alone time' with Remus. But, with Mrs Weasley and all the Weasley offspring in the house, it was really difficult for them to find time together. So Tonks, well, she offered to sit with me in the drawing room—whenever Sirius and I were in there, everyone knew we were talking and left us alone—and let Remus and Sirius have a moment to themselves.
In the small closet just off the sitting room.
They, uh, weren't very quiet. And Tonks and I were sitting there on the sofa, just listening to them. So she turned to me and put her knee on the sofa and slid her arm along the length of it and do you know what she said to me? She said, "I've made it obvious, done everything but sing it, Harry."
I, of course, had no idea what she was talking about.
So she leaned forward, scaring me a bit, and whispered, "I want you, Harry."
That's when it occurred to me that she was flirting with me. Well, okay, it was really the fact that her hand was on my thigh, on my upper thigh, and sliding higher. That made it pretty bloody obvious that she was flirting with me.
And right about the time I realised she was flirting with me, she said, "Have you ever had a woman before, Harry?"
I'd like to say I was suave and manly and cool, but really, I froze. I sat there with my mouth gaping open in shock, which must have been why she leaned forward and stuck her tongue in it. I mean, it was there, and empty, and open, for the love of Merlin.
But you know what really got me? The fact that her eyes were open. The whole time, her eyes were open. She was looking into my eyes, and I swear she was looking at me. Harry Potter, regular bloke, not… all that other stuff.
So, I, uh, sucked on her tongue. Well, it was in my mouth! What else was I supposed to do with it? I was fifteen, for crying out loud, and she was the first girl who ever kissed me.
Cho? What? Oh, no. I mean, she was the first girl from Hogwarts I ever kissed, but she wasn't the first girl I ever kissed. She was just… no. Haha. I liked her a lot and she was pretty, but Tonks was my first.
Kiss! My first kiss! God, you people!
Anyway, I was sucking on her tongue, desperately trying not to listen to the sound of Sirius getting buggered against the door of the closet—and really, I never saw that coming! I would have thought, well, with as, uh, soft spoken and whatnot as Remus is that, well, that he'd be the buggeree and not the buggerer—when Tonks slid right over into my lap. Straddling me. Sitting right on my… well, right on my lap if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
That's when I realised she'd stopped flirting with me and had moved straight into seduction.
You know, with as clumsy as Tonks is, you'd think she'd be bollocks at seduction, but I am here to tell you that you'd be wrong, my friend. I mean, I was an easy mark, sure, but she was… well, she was really gifted. I think that may have been her specialty with the Aurors. Seducing hapless bad guys into spilling their secrets. Among other things, hur hur.
She sure made me spill mine. Oh, not my secrets! Not that I had any then. This was before the Department of Mysteries and all the crap that came along with that. But she started moving her hips and her… uh, her whole… groin area… was rubbing against my… my lap, and she took her mouth and…
What? Oh, no, not that. God, I wasn't that lucky!
No, she started whispering in my ear. Talking about how hot I was and how sweet and how much she wanted me to come for her. Can you believe it?! A girl… no, a woman as gorgeous as Tonks was telling me to come. For her.
Well, you know, I'm an accommodating bloke, heh. So, I did. All over the front of my trousers.
She wrapped her arms around me and kissed me again and waited until I was past all the shakes and whatnot and then she pulled back. I was trying to work up the nerve to offer to take care of her—no, I really was!—when the pounding on the door stopped. Tonks jumped up, grabbed her wand, cast a cleaning charm at my trousers—that kind of hurt, to be honest. I don't think she's so good at cleaning charms—and leaned against the wall looking all nonchalant.
When Remus and Sirius came out of the closet—oh, hahaha, I didn't think how that would sound!—there we were, looking perfectly normal. Sirius limped over to Tonks and kissed her on the cheek and thanked her sweetly for covering for him. She just shrugged and said it was no problem before blowing a friendly sort of kiss to Remus.
I was sitting there trying to recover through all of this and not give away what we had been doing, when I realised that things were really looking up for the rest of the hols. Because that's when she turned to me and…
