Declan's whole neighbourhood in Southie when he was growing up was Irish; at school there'd been plenty of clashes with the other kids but at home it was solidly Irish. There hadn't been many people directly affiliated with the Murphy family per se, but Declan had certainly grown up knowing exactly who they were. He shrugged when he mentioned leaving the kids at Toys R Us but didn't reply: Tessie and Laura were pretty great for 8 year olds and Dec always treated them like his own considering their own dad was long gone. Someone had to look out for them after all, and just like any Irish guy family was a pretty big deal for Declan.

Daphne kissed his cheek after ducking behind the bar, wiping away the slight smear of lipstick afterwards with her thumb, "Hey, Kelly." She greeted him casting a glance at Will, "Who's your friend?" Declan grabbed his jacket from behind the bar as he replied, "William Murphy. Reputation may precede him. I'm cutting out, tell Dylan I'll see him tomorrow." He told her simply, no argument. Although she seemed fine with it - more tips for her after all.
He slapped her ass as he lifted the bar and stepped out, "Bye, sugar." She called, "And bring your friend round more often." She added, dropping a wink and a smile at Will.
