Dear Sir(s),
I apologise for disrupting you during what is a very stressful and terrible time for wizards of all sorts, and I am sure there are millions of other things that you need to focus your respective attentions on at this point in time (rather than the qualms of a teenage girl wishing to look out for a friend). But maybe you will agree with me that there is a deeper problem at hand here. Perhaps not.
It is that same concern that brings me to write you tonight, though. I know times are hard for the Ministry right now, and public opinion is shaky despite your best efforts to keep our government and people safe. Unfortunately, the public persona put forth by several of your staff does not do much to reassure confidence in those who are supposed to be protecting us from terrible things.
I've included copies of the comments left by two of your Aurors, Mr. Moody and Ms. Guffy, in a recent entry on the journals, harassing a young woman not only for her opinion, but on the petty fact that she has not yet had children. Now, I am aware that Mr. Moody in particular might not realise how sensitive a subject this is for Mrs. Malfoy, but the tone he takes within his comments is extraordinarily uncalled for and provokingly rude. I can only hope that your Aurors were off duty when these comments were made, although one can argue that an Auror is always an Auror, and should always carry themselves as examples of the Ministry they are supposed to represent. And if this is the example intended, I daresay I am quite concerned of the state of things.
Now, again, I realise that you have greater concerns at the moment than patrolling the journals and babysitting your employees during what may very well be their off hours. However, it is difficult to maintain confidence in a Ministry in which the people find themselves attacked by our protectors. Believe me when I say that I understand that things are changing, and, to be honest, somewhat terrifying. Teenagers should not have to watch as their fathers are killed in front of them by unknown murderers, and families should not be torn apart because of disagreements of opinion. But I also believe that the Aurors treatment of Mrs. Malfoy tonight was extremely unfair, and if nothing else, when you have time, perhaps a word on public relations would be appropriate? If that is too much to ask, I do understand, but I hope that you will at least consider my concern, as I am sure that it is shared by many others.
I thank you for your time, and I applaud your efforts and hard work in what has been a tumultuous year for us all.
Yours truly,
