I apologise that you are only now receiving word from Rodolphus and me regarding our situation following the Ministry's request to see us in court yesterday, as well as the whereabouts of your husband (as, like any loving and tender wife, I am sure you have noticed his absence in the last twenty-four hours). We have only now been given the opportunity to contact you, and I must say, I am at least relieved for this(!) You must be terribly worried.
Until the investigation has completed, the Ministry has requested that we remain away from home, and are thus staying at an inn until this occurs. I have the utmost faith in our Ministry that everything will be sorted out quickly.
Rodolphus also would like to extend his grievances for his inability to make an appearance at your cousin's birthday dinner tonight. I am positive you are well aware of how emotionally distraught this fact has left him, but if I know my brother, he will make it up to him later.
