1. Why did you choose to teach Miss O’Hare these things?
I have looked through her records, which include charges such as protesting Ministry actions and attacking Ministry Obliviators, and so far it seems that she – if anyone – does not properly display reasonable, levelheaded thinking, the kind that is required to operate such curses responsibly.
2. What is your relationship with Miss O’Hare?
I highly doubt you just picked her up of off the streets – and if you did, then that will be another matter entirely. I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that there was some previous relationship between the two of you, one which made you believe she is even close to being a candidate for whatever it is you had in mind to instruct her.
I need to know what this relationship is. Is she a friend, a family member, or something else? While it is acceptable to have a personal life, it is not acceptable to teach her -- or play favourites regarding a civilian, or a lover -- spells that they should not be able to operate.
3. Furthermore, should I be aware of anything going on regarding you and Miss O’Hare?
It is acceptable for you to have a personal life outside of the office. In addition, while I cannot condone sleeping with a younger woman, your life is yours, but I need you to be on top of your game regarding your decisions.
4. Am I able to trust you?
Recently it has begun to seem as though you have begun to care more and more about your own agenda than that of the Ministry. As I said before, I do not mind if you have extracurricular activities, but I do not want you to cross the lines as you have so obviously done here. I do not have room in my Department for vigilantes, Auror Moody. They believe that they are outside the law, that their actions have no direct consequences, and I do not want anyone in my employ to be acquainted with these sorts of individuals.
I need my team to be trustworthy. I need them to be able to understand that laws are set into place for a reason, and I need them to understand that they are not outside the law. This includes you, Auror Moody.
As stated by the Prevention of Terrorism Act, Where a person is so detained, any examining officer, or any other authorised person, may take all such steps as may be reasonably necessary for identifying him. I am not sure if you read this, Auror Moody, but I would like you to take another look at it as it clearly specifies that the use of such measures is restricted only to authorised personnel.
