Mr Potter,
Enclosed you will find the necessary paperwork for the requested annulment of your marriage. Please review the documents to ensure their accuracy as you will be legally responsible for their content. If everything is in order and to your satisfaction, place your initials in the designated spot after every foot of parchment and sign and date the bottom of each copy. I would suggest your Uncle Charlus serve as your witness. One copy should be retained for your records, with the other two returned to me so that I may file one with the Wizengamot and have the other delivered to the soon-to-be Miss Evans. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Included is three separate scrolls of parchment with more legal language than I'm capable of faking at the moment but it basically includes anything anyone would ever want to know about James, Lily, their marriage, their family history, Elvendork (with the details on Lily being filled in to the best of James's knowledge.) The document petitions the Wizengamot to annul their marriage on the grounds that James had not been in his right mind at the time of his marriage and was unable to understand the implications of his marriage to a Muggleborn witch. It goes on to talk about his inability to continue in the marriage in good faith now that he has come to understand that it would bring about the end of the Potter line and states his intentions to remarry and produce a proper heir. All the good puristy stuff.
