Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 5 June 1980 On 6 June - tomorrow - the wizarding community of Great Britain was scheduled to vote on a Marriage Bill presented to the Wizengamot by Mrs Meliflua a few weeks earlier. This vote was to represent the people's opinion and voice on an issue of great import to the families of the wizarding community. Due to the actions of foreign terrorists working in league with the Army of Albion in attacking the Foundation for the Promotion of Wizarding Society and Culture located in Diagon Alley the vote will be postponed until a future date. Severus Snape, Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic. This bill deals with an issue that is integral to family and children within the wizarding community. The actions of these terrorist continually show that they are against family, education, community, and peace and safety within our world. The Minister knows that the Wizarding World has been shaken by the violence of this week. The terrorist actions do not effect merely the women and families represented by the hostages, but indeed the entirety of the Wizarding World. The bill will be presented in the future when the vote may, in the spirit of true democracy, represent the entirety of the focus of the Wizarding community.
