The quality of light on the street where Pepper had been sent was weird in the pre-dawn - coming from moon and stars, street lights and the charms set up outside the ruins of the house in question, it was uneven and dim. The street was flat though, the wonders of paved roads, so he didn't need to pay much attention to where he was walking and was instead free to look around the area as he approached the scene, coffee from a 24-hour joint clutched in his hands against the chill of late winter. There was a small cluster of people already there and he paused just short of them, turning to get a good look at the remains of the house. "Fucking christ," he muttered. It was a complete mess, they could be here for hours. Where the hell was Aubrey?

Rodolphus requires a hard pushing, and nobody in the Auror office can push quite like Edgar Bones. However, there's a good chance Edgar and Alastor might just kill each other before Rodolphus really has to do anything. Who knows?
