Naturally, Narcissa didn't answer the door herself. That was job of whichever house elf happened to be around, and today it was Dobby. "Mistress is in the sunroom," Dobby informed Glinda once he had let the visitor in, leading her down a corridor past a several rooms to the sunroom.
Narcissa stood up, pushing away a sheaf of papers. Seating charts were the hardest part of the planning process, especially in pureblood society. Deciding where everyone would sit required diplomancy and tact, and Narcissa managed it very well. Occasionally, though, she wished she could just shuffle the names around and decide randomly. But those moments always passed quickly. Staying at the top of society's ladder was worth whatever headaches it brought.
"Miss Crook!" Narcissa said with a smile upon seeing Glinda. "It is absolutely lovely to have you here. Lucius and I very much enjoyed hearing you speak the other evening."
