rp: fabian and mary. Who: Fabian Prewett and Mary MacDonald What: Mary can't sleep, so Fabian came to keep her company Where: Mary's flat in Hyde Park When:BACKDATED Early Sunday morning (around 1am) Rating: TBA Status: Started!
Mary was experiencing a lot of things she didn't care to admit. Sleeplessness was only one of those things. Since the attack on Diagon Alley and Mary's temporary memory loss, she hadn't gotten a proper night sleep without horrible, vivid nightmares. They were so vibrant and real that Mary was honestly afraid to sleep. It had been quite a few weeks since then, and Mary was only getting more and more tired and more run down and burnt out. Eventually, Fabian had caught her in a weak moment, and she actually admitted to not being able to sleep. Nevermind that she was terrified to be alone. The last time she said that, the other Order members had, essentially, laughed at her and told her being scared was a good thing. Needless to say, Mary wasn't about to open her mouth again.
Mary was actually looking to seeing Fabian again despite everything. The two were patrol partners, though they hadn't really had a proper chance to bond yet. Seeing a potential mate outside of an Order or battle setting was a bit relieving. She didn't know it was possible to have mates anymore. Between working ten hours a day at the hospital and spending hours upon hours nearly every night patrolling and doing her rounds and the nightmares, Mary was getting burnt out quick. She didn't have a mentor per say in the Order and she really felt like she was fending for herself. No one ever told her to slow down or stop, and she really felt like she was in over her head.
With the expectation of Fabian coming over, Mary immediately went to work. Her flat, though rarely occupied, was a mess. She usually liked to do everything the Muggle way, but this time she cleaned the messes from the floor with magic, as well as started a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies. After all, Fabian was coming to her flat at nearly one in the morning. The least she could do was give him milk and cookies.. and maybe a bit of Ogden's if that's what he preferred. She was actually looking forward to seeing Fabian. She enjoyed his company and she liked talking to him since he was so nice and encouraging. Honestly, she was quite glad to be paired with him. Mary surveyed her flat. It looked good as new. With a nod, she collapsed on the couch and waited for her gentleman caller to arrive.
