As Severus left the Ministry, and moved to the Ministry Apparation point, he was really uncertain whether to be pleased that he'd gotten out of likely thirty minutes to an hour (once one completed the paperwork) of desk work, or annoyed that it would likely mean he would need to take things home that night. The messages of unauthorized Apparation in points that had been all but shut down with their proximity to the English channel and the borders of Wizarding Britain could potentially mean trouble however, so he placed his indecision to the side, and his wand in his hand he Apparated himself to the point rather hoping that the scuffle would be minor. Being injured was not on his list of things to do and could be quite detrimental if he were required to save Demetrius' ass tonight. Severus landed, his wand in front of him, and his eyes immediately moving towards the Apparation point in front of them. He could see figures in the rather foggy afternoon and he immediately held his wand out, ready for any unwanted movement. "Halt!" he demanded harshly. "By orders of the Ministry of Magic, all Apparation from this location must be authorized by the Department of Magical Transportation." He had still not quite gotten used to the fact that he could utilise the Ministry of Magic in such a way. "FUCK!" The word rang out before the woman could silence herself. She knew the idea had been a bad one right from the start. Yanking her wand from her pocket, the youth spun to face their captor and began to aim, only she was not quick enough. "Aguamenti!!" A line of water shot past her head as the old man with them shoved her out of the way. "You youngins' get! Go on!" She watched from the ground as the codger stepped further toward the black-haired man. Almost instantly her boyfriend began tugging on her arm, "Addy, lets go!" The scrawny twig of a lad put all of his strength into helping her up before attempting to drag her in the opposite direction, toward freedom. Severus glared at the lot, ducking out of the line of water, and with his wand in front of him instantly shot a stunning spell at the older man. He crumpled immediately and the Severus turned his attention to the woman who had shouted the orders and the man standing next to her. Aguamenti was not the sort of spell one used when one was serious in battle and it only showed that the lot of them were Amateurs, probably at best. "Surrender now," he said, advancing onto the couple, his wand still pointed toward them menacingly. "And no one has to get hurt." Addy heard a body fall to the ground as she ran but did not dare to look back. Jeremy had told her to run and so she ran. All they could do was hope the codger had fell the git who was after them. Unfortunately, she was wrong. The prat had easily overtaken their companion and was once again focused on them. "Run away with me, you said!" she screamed, sarcasm dripping over the words as her temper flared. "We'll get married in Paris, you said! Merlins' balls you're a willie-loving---" "We surrender!" Jeremy blurted and Abby could not believe her own ears. The hand holding her arm let go so that she could run on her own. Addy turned on her heel as soon as it was possible to glare at the git. "WHAT!?" Severus was pleased that they were going to be so reasonable. He moved forward, sending a quick Incarcerous towards the younger man who had said he surrendered. It would ensure that they were not going to jump away then. All three of them would need to be taken into the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for questioning, and Severus hoped that eventually the DMLE would be clear to take care of these incidents. "Good," he said simply and he cast a silent Accio to take the wands of both the stunned man, and the now bound (if not tightly so) man. Those wands tucked in his pocket and turned his attention to the woman, assuming that she would be quick to surrender now that her companions had been so quickly captured. He raised his wand at her to cast Accio. Morons. Complete and utter spineless, cowardly, snivelling morons! It would be her luck to have to travel with such rodents while attempting to escape a land which did not want her anymore. A fine time for Jeremy to show his true colour -- yellow. The man's hand was quick but hers, thankfully, was swifter. "Confringo!!" she shouted, lifting her wand in time with the incantation. Perhaps it would have been better to aim first, or to just continue running, but like hell she was going to let a greasy puppet take her down without a fight! Severus had been caught off guard when she raised her wand at him and it was only quick reflexes that kept the blasting curse from hitting him full on. As it was it slammed into the post behind him sending pieces of it raining at him. It was quick thinking to snap a depulso at the pieces of the post that were raining at him, banishing them away from him and back towards her. It wasn't quite quickly enough to manage absolutely no injuries, however, and he could feel nicks on his hands, neck, and face from where pieces could easily reach his skin Bloody hell. This was supposed to be simple. Well, fine. If she was going to be nasty, he could be equally so. He pointed his wand at her again. "Engorgio," he snapped at her hand. It wouldn't permanently injure her, probably, but it would certainly make her balance uneven as she went to cast. He followed the enlarging charm by a Diffindo sent at her arms. Addy's arm raised instinctively to protect her face, her wand arm slashing across to try and deflect as many of the shards as possible with a shielding charm. The method worked, to some effect, although a few pieces still scraped against her skin. Before she could regain her concentration her wand hand was enlargening to quite an alarming size. The effect rendered the art of aiming completely useless, and so she began to just throw blasting curses left and right of him as she stepped forward, cussing out everyone from his Mum to his boyfriend and the tiny stick on his person. She had just lifted her gigantic hand back with the hopes of crashing it down on him (hey, if you could not win by wand, win by brute strength!) when the slashing charms cut deep into her arms. Her wand arm came crashing forward at a brutal speed while she cried out in pain, falling forward to swallow a mouthful of dirt. A moment later she was cursing gravity. She certainly was a coarse mouthed little thing, Severus thought, as the stream of ridiculous curses came flying one after another. It wasn't as if it was anything unusual, particularly - Snape was rather used to being cursed at - but it was still annoying. And that was when he realised she was moving forward, blood on her arms, and very definitely towards him. Fuck. It was quicker to cast a Protego that it was to move, but neither were quite quick enough, and the rather larger part of her hand hit his shoulder with a thud causing Severus to curse out loud. She was on the ground however, and he shot stupify in her direction so that she could not move any further, and stepped away from her. His shoulder ached, and unfortunately for his three prisoners, Severus was in an extremely foul mood. He looked over himself, first. The wounds that were bleeding were mere surface wounds and he tended to those before turning his attention to the woman who had caused all of this trouble. Looking down at her, he couldn't help but think that if she'd had the proper training, she might have been a reasonably worthwhile opponent. For an amateur likely untrained in defence outside DADA at Hogwarts, she'd done well enough. He pointed his wand at her hand, casting the spell to shrink it to its normal size. Severus could have cared less about how unwieldy and difficult it might have been for her, but there was no sense in bringing her into the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with a hand large enough it might be difficult to get her through the door. That done, he considered the wounds. She might bleed out, he thought, looking down at her with dark, and apparently unfeeling eyes. Later tonight the event might require a shot of whiskey, but for the moment, she was an enemy that needed to be dealt with efficiently. "You should have surrendered," he said coldly. "All of this could have been avoided. Of course, all of this could have been avoided merely by being a law abiding citizen in the first place," he added. "Incarcerous," he said, first at the woman, then at the older man. And then, certain the ropes would hold, and that he held their wands, he removed the stunning spell on both of them. "I will be taking you back to the Ministry of Magic," he added. "The Department of Magical Law Enforcement will decide what is to be done with you." |
