PEOPLE PRESENT: The article in the Daily Prophet and advertisements in the Witch Weekly brought a large amount of witches and their families to Tinworth Wizarding Park. Approximately 764 witches and wizards of all ages were present, including reporters and members from the Society for Distressed Witches SETTING: Taking up most of the large wizarding park of Tinworth, large tents are set up throughout the park. Families sat on the grass with traditional blankets but there were also several tents with circular tables and chairs. There is a large tent giving pony rides, another for face painting, and another (one of the most popular) arts and crafts tent. The overall atmosphere is quite cozy and most interact with other friendly families. There are sandwiches of many varieties, fruits, and desserts on a long table. A punch fountain is to the side with many colourful cups. WHAT IS SAID: Narcissa starts off and manages to quite the whole crowd by her mere presence! Narcissa will first thank people for coming to the event, and briefly touch on the Foundation's goals (the importance of preserving culture and lineage, unity, and women's involvement). She'll then encourage everyone to buy masquerade tickets, and say how excited she is to be able to do this for the community, then introduce Juls and lead everyone in applauding her. Julianne would take the stage after Narcissa, thanking the Chairwoman for the opportunity to have such a wonderful event (*cues another round of applause here*). She would thank everyone for coming once again and would express her excitement for the picnic describing the events going on throughout the day. Juls would speak briefly about the Society for Distressed Witches and how the Foundation is honoured to be fundraising and helping out the organization. She'll introduce the chairwoman of the Society and will end with an encouragement for others to come to the masquerade and hopefully she will see everyone then. SPECIAL GUESTS: Elisabeth Tarnois, Chairwoman of the Society for Distressed Witches, speaks about how indebted they are to the Foundation and about the awareness of their organization. Later in the day, there is a eugenics tent with chairs that are all filled, some people even stand around on the sides and in the back. The speech is given by Stephen Perts, an Important Doctor/Professor, who discusses eugenics and the importance of how this affects their children, etc. Following this is a puppet play for children and parents alike. The storyline goes where many good wizards and witches are living peacefully for centuries when a group of red coloured people come along, asking them if they could stay temporarily with their pet lions. Over time, the group of people then continue to invite more red people, invading the lands that were originally meant for the good wizards and witches. The group of people eventually ask the magical people to teach them magic and when they do, they are ungrateful for it. Instead, they take the magic that they've learned and destroy the village and terrorize the witches and wizards with their lions. Eventually, a group of masked heroes come along, the magical people shows a united front, and the red people are defeated and leave. Yay, happily ever after! PLEASE COMMENT! with what you character did, said, etc. ♥ |
