Despite the fact that I am ridiculously late, Adam was on the early side. He brought Kirley a big bag of Honeydukes' finest (which he then gave to Meg and told the birthday boy he could have it when she said). He was very happy to romp around with Kirley (and even take him outside and charm the bike to fly a little, if Meg would have allowed it, keeping a very close eye on him) as much as the boy wanted. It may have been slightly obvious that he's missing his own kids.
In between playing favourite uncle, he'd have happily chatted to all and sundry, catching up or meeting new people as the case may be. Around 7, though, he'd have to leave to get to the WWN. At the start of the show (8pm) he made a birthday announcement for Kirley, in with a little bit about family and growing and life in the midst of death.
