It had taken a bit of organisation, but between them, they’d seemed to find a time that suited them all to get together. While the meeting may have been informal, it didn’t mean people were going to want to sit in the stack of things that were scattered around the flat. This ranged from magazines to what looked suspiciously like one of his old scarves, if it’d been mauled. So, shock of all shocks, Sirius was attempting to tidy up instead of leaving it to Remus to sort things out. He had been the one to request this so he guessed it was only fair that he do the work. Of course, boredom had nothing to do with it. Fabian had been asking questions, as had Marlene, so it seemed the logical thing to do. Sirius Black being logical – will wonders never cease?
He had crawled out of bed early (also known as, before noon) due to the fact the meeting would need to be on the early side as he and Marlene were both on duty at Hogsmeade that week and he was fairly sure both Marlene and Fabian were otherwise occupied during weekdays by that odd concept called employment. He was fairly sure that Fabian was stuck with the Lestranges and could use a break. Anyone who had to put up with the Lestranges could probably use something stronger than the coffee which was brewing but it would have to do. He was tempted to put something in Remus’ drink but it was tacky to do the same prank twice. He’d be creative when he wasn’t yawning.
With the front room relatively clear, as in all of things had been thrown haphazardly on his bed to be put back in their exact, convenient spots when everyone left, Sirius flopped on the couch and tried to remember where he’d put bourbon biscuits.
