The last day's events were pretty much all she could think about. It had really been quite the show that Stefan chose to put on just to gain the upper hand from Klaus. Who knows if that was even achieved? Elena didn't. Nor did she even care. She let a part of herself die on that bridge. That was for certain. It was no secret that Elena let her emotions control her actions, but all of that was about to stop. She wasn't that girl anymore. That girl was long gone. Stefan had hurt her, even if it hadn't been physically. Taking her to the bridge where her parents died and almost killing her just to make a point? It was a new low, but a new proof that the man he once was had disappeared forever, leaving an arrogant, careless, villain in his place.
All of her training with Alaric had almost amounted to this moment when she would come face-to-face with a real demon. Of course, she hadn't exactly expected it to be him. That was just the hand she had been dealt. Violence was never really her thing, mostly because she had spent so long being helpless. She was stronger now. Not only physically, but mentally. What better way to reveal the new and improved Elena than with a little visit to her former flame.
She didn't bother to knock, but instead just walked right in the front door. It was quiet, which she wasn't expecting. Maybe he wasn't home. She knew Damon wouldn't be there, since she'd seen him at the Grille with Alaric before she came over. This was such a stupid move and she didn't need Damon there to stop her. After all, it wasn't like she was going to try and kill Stefan. She might have been stronger, but she wasn't that strong. Yet. She came armed, though everything had been concealed. There was no need for any heavy artillery. Elena continued further into the house. He probably already knew she was there, so it would be really helpful if he could just show himself. She really didn't want to go through the whole house looking.
