5. Write about the last dream you had

I don't really talk much about my dreams. But most recently, I had a dream about my childhood. My father left when I was young. My mother had a bit of schizophrenia. There was an incident that led my father to kill. I witnessed the burning of the man's clothes.

That is the image that haunts me now as an adult. It's annoying, but I can't escape from it. I fixate on it when it happens, and sometimes, I fear that it will hinder the work I do for Hotchner and the others on my team.

This last dream was more outlandish than the more recent, and realistic ones. Instead of observing by accident, my mother made me watch. I know she'd never do that in theory, but still. Then sometimes, I hear her griping at me. Why?

Well, the truth is, I had mom put away for he own good. And I never felt quite right about it. Sometimes, I visit her. But most of the time, it hurts too much. So when she started calling out to me in this last dream, I couldn't help the guilt that coursed through me.

I can only hope that my continued sessions with my psychologist will help me sort through all of this...
