It was all work she could finish tomorrow, and Hermione had all but convinced herself of that as Ron wandered over to her desk. She watched him as he played with one of the quills, something she might have told anyone else off for doing. But it wasn't a particularly good one, so she let it go.
As he assured her he was offering, Hermione leaned back into her chair and let herself relax, giving a small sigh as she brushed her hair back off her face. It felt like a long week already, and they weren't even halfway there. Ron's plan for the night sounded utterly perfect, and she stood up, for once not planning to take any paperwork with her and just retrieving her bag.
"I'd like that," she said, giving a small nod. Hermione then smiled. "It has been a while, we'll have to see if you still have the skill to best me at chess." It was one of few things that she really wasn't very good at it, and Ron was inordinately better.
