"Well, right now what I'm doing is buying a second round of drinks. Why? Jealous?" Lisa teased, leaning up onto the bar toward him a bit more. The idea was so ridiculous that it was funny. Then she watched his demeanour as he refilled the glasses, and she wondered for half a second if she was wrong about that. Maybe it wasn't jealousy, but possessiveness? That was something she could picture, and it made her roll her eyes a bit. Guys were so strange sometimes.
But she was okay with him being possessive of her, wasn't she? Hadn't she come up here expecting to, well, be possessive of him? The sudden realisation intrigued her.
"I do have friends, you know," she said, settling back onto the stool as he brought the drinks back. Lisa wasn't going to dignify the question with a full explanation, but she figured she'd at least throw him a hint. If he couldn't figure out they knew one another from school, then that was his problem. "But if that's too much for you, maybe you aren't up for the other challenge I was about to offer...."
Lisa raised an eyebrow, waiting to see what he'd say to that.
