Will knew that a birthday party for a girl he barely knew wasn't a very good excuse for arranging a night off, but it seemed better to take it now than on a night when there was nothing happening. At least this way he knew he'd get to spend some time around people for purely recreational reasons. The costume part had been rather tricky, since he'd decided to come at almost the last minute, but he'd brainstormed a bit on his afternoon flight, and his mind went almost immediately to the old Muggle comic books his dad had given him as a child. Transfiguring a superhero costume hadn't been very difficult.
Apparating into the Cornfoot's sitting room, he glanced around for Timothy, but didn't see him. Of course, he wasn't sure he'd recognise him if he did. Some of the costumes were outrageous.
