"Okay, yuck," Neville said, following another bite of scone with a sip of tea. It was pretty chilly out still, despite the sun being out, so he pulled out his wand and warmed up the area around them a bit. "No need to go any worse, thanks."
He turned toward Mandy, watching the breeze ruffle her hair for a moment. Mornings like this only made him more sure of his decision to propose to her, even if he hadn't quite figured out how he was going to do it yet. There was quiet and conversation, and nothing to indicate that she felt any less comfortable with it all than he did.
"It's nice up here, but one of these days I'll have a proper garden," he mused, turning back to look across the modest selection of plants he was growing. "I mean, I guess technically I'll inherit Gran's place eventually, but I'd rather that be long after I'm settled elsewhere. Hogsmeade's nice," he said thoughtfully.
