Peter glanced around. He assumed from the hair color that most of the people in the room were family members, but still the patient had a right to her privacy.
He moved closer to the bed and touched Miss Weasley's leg. "Prickling yet?" The young witch nodded. "Good. That means it's working and you'll be able to kick me in the head in no time." He smiled at her.
Then Peter nodded toward Mrs. Weasley. "If you don't mind, I'd like to speak to you alone. We can step just outside."
Peter walked outside with Miss Weasley's chart in his hand. "We don't have a lot," he admitted. "I know you've been told we're doing our best, and we are. However, we can rule out that your daughter was poisoned or cursed. She had similar symptoms to those types of occurrences, but neither is the cause of her sickness. Though she was told she had the flu a few weeks ago, we don't believe that was the case either. Her neurological system is very active and very much intact, which means though she isn't quite herself, her brain has not been biologically affected or damaged.
"It's not a lot, I understand. And I will say we are incredibly frustrated. However, the fact that she's awake, thirsty, and wanting to move around is incredibly encouraging. Her body is desperately trying to fight this off. I would suggest she stay one more night here for observation and then I should think, if she feels up to it, she can go home."
