Summary: Bill and Fleur host family and friends for New Year's and give everyone a bit of news.

Despite having declared to Bill that she would do her fair share of the preparations for the party, Fleur was glad that he'd thrown himself into things so wholeheartedly, and that she'd truly had to do so little. She wasn't sure if it was the increased activity of the last few days, or if it was truly due to her current condition, but she'd been so exhausted by early afternoon that she'd barely been able to apologise to Bill for her inattentiveness and give a promise to help later before she'd stumbled off to bed for a much-needed nap. Now she felt relatively refreshed and able to think over the day so far with a pleasant tingle of satisfaction.

The adoption agency thought their situation was perfect for the process to go smoothly. It might only be a matter of months before they were parents.

It was with a rather giddy smile that she rejoined her husband downstairs, still stretching to remove the last vestiges of sleep from her body. She surveyed the food and decorations, then promptly kissed him on the cheek. "Everything looks perfect. You 'ave become quite the party planner, I think." She snagged a bite of fruit from one of the bowls and continued smiling at him as she chewed. One eyebrow raised in playful accusation. "You did not leave anything for me to do, did you?"
