Anthony shot Michael a look. He knew he was probably doomed to an in depth discussion of exactly what was going on with him and Padma. At least it would be an easy one, because the answer would be exactly the same as it always had been: nothing. But he nodded at Liliana's mention of Stephen. He'd seen his old roommate around the department a few times, very briefly. They'd never been particularly close, but he wouldn't mind catching up all the same.
He smiled back at Liliana, an instantaneous reaction that he found felt rather natural. It had been nice, even though he could still feel his nerves poking at him. "It was," he agreed, then glanced at Michael. "I'll let Padma know. Got a half-finished owl for her already."
Yes, it had been fun. Maybe he wouldn't kill Michael after all.
