Anthony had just taken another mouthful of food when Liliana asked about his work. He wanted to groan. Well, at least if the conversation went sour now, it wouldn't be his fault. "We take in all the evidence and study it?" he said, wondering if she didn't know the department at all, or just not what he specifically did. "I've handled mostly white collar stuff with a bit of petty crimes just for 'fun.'"
Liliana's explanation made sense. Apparently others just had the same impression of her that he had. "Well...it, uh, takes a lot more than just presence, though, I'm sure," he said, reaching for his glass to wash down his last bite. He glanced at her, then back at his plate as he scooped up more food. "Sounds like a pretty good job for a Ravenclaw to me. Well, except me. I'd be complete bollocks at it."
Merlin, he was rambling now. He looked at Michael, practically begging his friend to jump in, though trying not to be obvious about it.
