Love is always bestowed as a gift - Date & Time: February 22, 2003 Post Type: RP Status: Closed: Complete Character(s): Cho Chang, Stephen Cornfoot Location: 318 Magnolia Manor, Blackthorn Ridge Summary: Cho and Stephen share a special evening together.
Cho checked the clock once again as she finished preparations for her evening with Stephen. Since he had been working on Valentine’s Day last week, she had promised to plan something special for their belated Valentine’s celebration when his case was done. Her ideas for dinner, dancing and maybe a night in a Muggle hotel had been indefinitely postponed once she learned Stephen had been injured last week. He had been released from the hospital this weekend and was making an amazing recovery, although he stubbornly refused to wear the leg brace any longer. Stephen had assured her he felt well enough for whatever she had planned for their Valentine dinner.
She knew dancing and any traveling would be rough on Stephen’s leg so she had made new plans. A casual evening with just the two of them at home sounded best for now. Since he was recovering, she wanted to make it an easy and relaxing night but still wanted tonight to be special. Her flat was lit only by candles and the glow from the fireplace which also provided extra warmth and ambience. The bedroom had already been prepared with another surprise for him.
Cho had told Stephen tonight would be casual, and earlier today had sent him an owl with that reminder and a present. Her note had said comfortable attire was required - so comfortable that she was would be wearing pajamas and he should do the same. Her present for him had been a pair of men’s pajama bottoms along with a new cotton tee shirt.
She had left St. Mungo’s promptly at five and gone into Muggle London to pick up their dinner. Her selections at the restaurant were all appetizers and finger foods which she thought would make a romantic meal. Stephen had a hearty appetite though, so she made sure to order plenty. The area in front of the fireplace was covered with a blanket, spelled with a cushioning charm because of his leg, and pillows against the sofa for reclining. She’d already used the heating and cooling charms needed for the food which was now waiting and ready in the kitchen. A bottle of wine and two glasses were set up but she had included several bottles of Stephen’s favourite beer in the ice bucket as well. She wanted this evening to be for him.
Cho rolled up her sleeves a bit more before she looked down and undid another button. She had kept the silky matching top to Stephen’s pajama bottoms and that was all she was wearing now. Well, not all. His oversized pajama top slipped off one shoulder for a glimpse of red satin and lace. He could retrieve this half of his pajamas later tonight, and then discover the new camisole set she was wearing underneath and had chosen with him in mind. Stephen had definitely sparked a daring side of herself she was enjoying exploring.
She heard the crack of Apparation at exactly seven and her smile widened as she walked over to kiss Stephen. “I’ve been thinking about you all day.”
