Harry snorted at Hermione's decision that it was 'just dinner' but he didn't argue with her. Ginny hadn't said anything about having dinner with a Slytherin, but then again she hadn't said much to him at all so Harry couldn't tell if she was deliberately keeping it secret or just not talking to him.
He looked at Hermione sideways when she spoke of their weekend away, apparently Ginny hadn't said anything about that either. Bloody hell. "It was fine," he answered. "We saw a bunch of stuff. And that reminds me, we brought you something back." Harry hoped presents would distract Hermione enough for him to change the subject again.
Jumping off the couch and heading back into his room, he rifled through his bag until he found the book they had gotten, realising Ginny must have the book ends. Bringing it back out, he put it on Hermione's lap. "There you go."
