"Yes, but just pouring on sauce is cheating," Dean insisted, pointing an accusatory finger. "Which means I can't help experimenting with it, which means my food tastes wrong. I should have learnt years ago, but I just can't get the hang of making what I know I want it to taste like."
Dean chuckled and nodded. Not cooking for himself would probably do him good. "Yeah, well being sociable will probably do me good," he said with a smile which reached his eyes and stayed there. "So long as I don't manage to get stupidly drunk and start doing stupid things it should be fine."
He winced as he finished talking, that sort of statement was practically a challenge, especially since getting him stupidly drunk wasn't really very difficult. Although he had to admit that at the time things tended to sound like a good idea, it was just when he woke up the next morning that he was mortified.
