"Both of my parents are Muggles," Eli explained as he took another bite. "I have an older brother and a twin sister--both Muggles. My parents don't actually want me to contact them by owl, which is why I have a telephone in my flat and also why I live in Muggle London.
"My sister is actually the only one who can stand magic. When I'm with them, I try to be as..." He tried to think of how to explain what his parents wished for him. "...well, they want me to be as much like them as I can be." Then he smiled and shrugged to show he was used to it by now, and it didn't exactly bother him to know his parents weren't 100 percent okay with him being a wizard.
"Put me on the spot, why don't you?" he asked playfully. "I can make toasted cheese. That's one." He counted it off with his fingers. "Pizza, lasagna, chili, chicken in the skillet, and mash--potatoes that is." He nodded and wiggled his five fingers. "And that is all."
