Eli grinned. He hadn't known one of his choices would end up being a favourite of Verity's, but it was a welcome surprise. She would probably like the other one, too, because it was similar in taste.
"I haven't eaten yet, but unless you're planning on eating a sandwich, you don't have to go to the trouble of making one for me. I can eat cheesecake and drink wine and be fine." Eli wasn't picky when it came to eating. Cheesecake for dinner sounded good, but he wouldn't turn down a sandwich either.
He looked around her flat, and when she was finished talking, he chuckled. "I like listening," he said. "And your place is nice. It's a lot like my flat. I can nearly make tea and sit on the bed at the same time," he said and accepted the offered glass of wine.
