"Thank you," he said when she'd finished complimenting his work. "I'm glad I can do this... I, look, okay, I have a lot of issues, I use drawing as a form of healing. It helps me process things," he explained, looking at her nervously. He couldn't quite explain why he wanted to tell her these things, mostly people worked it out for themselves, or had known him back when he was drawing absolutely constantly and staying almost silent.
"I'm still glad there are people like you though, I'd never have the brains to be a Healer," he said, rubbing a thumb lightly over the corner of the counter, face tilted downwards as it often was when he made some sort of confession.
