Neville could only nod as Gran asked him to pour the tea, hopping up immediately to do so. When he was younger, he'd always seemed to manage to spill it all over the tea tray, but she'd kept insisting he do it anyway. It had always seemed like torture then, but now he was just used to it.
He didn't spill any this time.
After handing each of the ladies their cups, he took his own and sat back down next to Mandy, his leg resting lightly against hers. "I very nearly ended up with a two bedroom, just for the space, but this one's quite large. Has a proper dining room and everything. And it's near the stairs. The landlords are going to let me grow some things on the roof."
Neville sipped his tea, unable to hold back his grin. It wouldn't be a real garden, but it was a start. Maybe once he got settled into his job, he could start thinking about a house with space to grow things and room for a family ones of these days....
He cleared his throat, continuing, "Everything will fit. Be pretty sparse, actually." He gave his grandmother a smile. "If you've any to spare, I wouldn't say no."
