Katie had tucked her money back into her handbag, shaking her head. "I'll get it next time, then," she said.
They sat down at the table and Katie took some of the rice, a bit of Moo Goo Gai Pan and some BBQ pork to start. "This is delicious," she said after a few bites, "thanks." She finished off her glass of wine. She could still feel the numbness and the grief from earlier, but spending time with Eli had taken her mind off things. She thought about something that had been bothering her before she'd found out about Neville's death. Eli was a bloke; surely he could give her an average bloke's opinion.
"Have you ever dated casually? Like dated a few women at the same time?" She asked, hoping the question didn't sound strange.
