Eli straightened his flat and took one last look around before checking the time. His place was clean. The furniture that had come with the flat was nice and easy to take care of, so he'd never had any worries about what people thought of his place. But Katie was different. He wanted her to like it, and he shoved a hand through his hair, feeling ridiculous for being so concerned about a woman who was clearly dating another man.
When she knocked, he opened the door and smiled. He'd been looking forward to this day since he'd owled her days ago. "Hey, Katie," he said. She looked lovely, so he told her as much.
